Industrial packaging

It is a means intended to include a product to ensure its temporary protection from a physical point of view and to the action of climatic factors, in order to maintain their quality and integrity in the state of delivery, transport and storage to the recipient.

Packing

It is the operation or the procedure by which, with the help of the packaging, the temporary protection from the physical point of view and to the action of the climatic factors is ensured, during the handling, transport and storage at the recipient.

Preservation

The product represents protection against external factors, such as: relative air humidity, dust particles, temperature, etc.

The constraints to which the packaging and the product will be subjected presuppose the knowledge of the following data:

  • the final destination of the expedition;
  • the mode of transport chosen or imposed;
  • various physical or climatic factors, theft, etc., to which the packaging and the product are subjected during handling, transport and storage;
  • storage time before delivery and at the recipient's premises;
  • the conditions imposed by the buyer of the packaged product, carrier and insurers.
